HHS Diaries - Second Session Start

There is no doubt that the Heartland is a life changing place.  It has been amazing to have been doing this for over 20 years now, and seeing how the lives of those that have come through here have changed for the better.  I feel so blessed to watch these youngsters leave, while they are wanting nothing more than to stay.  We work like rented mules, the school is extremely hard, and yet it is like being through boot camp with someone.  Powerful relationships are forged as the students gain strength and skill.

The next session starts tomorrow.  We have a new group that is replacing the 8-weekers that are leaving, and the dynamic will change.  Two in particular, from The Bahamas, will be in for more than they could ever have imagined.  I can’t wait to see how it all turns out, and I look forward to my role in it.  Hopefully I will do better with the videos so that those who are interested can watch.  What a life!
